BELLEVILLE YOUTH FOOTBALL PROGRAM CONFLICT RESOLUTION POLICY

To resolve conflicts that may occur, Belleville Youth Football Program, Inc. has created a conflict resolution policy.  A conflict exists when two or more parties disagree on an event.  This policy has been created to give each party a proper method and procedure to resolve such an event.

First, there will be a "24 hour cooling off period".  Many times the emotions of the event can cloud a person's judgement.  After this time, the person that has an issue may contact the proper person to discuss the situation.  Please do not approach a coach before or during a practice or game.

For a player-coach conflict, the player needs to contact the head coach to discuss the issue.  If the player and/or the head coach feel the issue has resolved, the parents will be asked to join the discussion.  If there is still no resolution, then the appropriate Program Director (Tackle/Padded Flag/Flag) will be asked to assist.

For a parent/legal guardian-coach conflict, the parent/legal guardian needs to contact the head coach to discuss the issue.  If the parent/legal guardian and/or head coach feel the issue has not been resolved, the appropriate Program Director will be asked to participate in the discussion.

The appropriate Program Director has the right to settle all issues and the right to include the Belleville Youth Football Program, Inc. Board of Directors only if they feel the need is valid.

Only players, parents/legal guardians and coaches will have the right to discuss such matters.  Siblings and/or other relatives are not allowed to be part of this process.

All communications and meetings must be handled in a discrete, confidential and professional manner.  Any variation to this can result in the removal of the player, parent(s)/legal guardian(s) and/or coach{s} from the program.
